Itazuke Ruins Autumn Harvest Festival2025/10/26(Sun)

Here’s a recap of the Itazuke Ruins Autumn Harvest Festival, held on October 26 (Sun)!
Participants enjoyed hands-on workshops such as making Yayoi-style clothing, ancient food preparation, rice harvesting, and fire-starting, experiencing what everyday life was like in the Yayoi period.

Fukuoka Castle Sannomaru Family Day2025/11/1(Sat)

Here’s a recap of the “Fukuoka Castle Sannomaru Family Day,” held from November 1 (Sat) to November 3 (Mon, public holiday).
On the first day, a variety of activities were offered, including a chambara sword-fighting game that allowed children to run and play freely, as well as workshops featuring traditional crafts.
In addition, historic buildings within Fukuoka Castle, which are normally closed to the public, were specially opened, and a stamp rally was also held.

On the second day, stage performances by groups such as the Fukuoka Omotenashi Bushotai (a samurai performance team promoting Fukuoka) were held, adding excitement and energy to the venue.

On the third day, Shishi Festival Fukuoka, a highlight event of Fukuoka Heritage Week, was held for the first time!
A wide variety of Shishimai (Japanese lion dance) and harai-jishi purification lion dances from across the city gathered at Fukuoka Castle, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
In addition to lion head displays and photo opportunities, visitors were also able to take part in a workshop to make cardboard lion heads, enjoying a hands-on cultural experience.
